Workshop: Dignity of Risk 

Thursday 31 January 2019: This workshop examines how to manage risks for residents by focussing on the processes required to enact and support Dignity of Risk for residents.

Presented by the Health Law and Ageing Research Unit, Monash University, Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine, this educational workshop will be run by experienced leaders in the field of aged care, dignity of risk principles, law and policy.

Dementia App aims to enhance social interaction

Dementia Australia has released a free app designed to help connect with someone with dementia through the use of interactive games. The A Better Visit app aims to help stimulate conversation and create a fun atmosphere, particularly as dementia progresses and communication becomes more challenging.
